This template is made to be easy to fill out and helps you show your accomplishments with real details. Think of it as your personal record of all the cool things you've done and learned.
What’s Inside:

How To Use This Free High School Brag Sheet Template
Step 1: Get Your Own Copy of the Template
Click the Download Template button. This will open the template in Google Docs.
Look for the Use Template button, usually in the top-right corner of the page, and click it.
Make sure you're signed into your Google account. This will automatically save a new copy of the template to your Google Drive.
This new copy is all yours to edit! You might want to rename it (e.g., "[Your Name]'s Brag Sheet").
Step 2: Fill in Your Information
Go through each section and replace the sample information (for "Maya Patel") with your own details:
I. Basic Information: Put in your name, grade, school, contact info, and why you're making the brag sheet (like "College Applications").
II. Academic Profile: Add your GPA, class rank, test scores, classes (especially for senior year), favorite or tough courses, and any school awards.
III. Extracurricular Activities: Use the table to list your clubs, sports, arts, etc. For each, include years involved, roughly how many hours, any leadership roles, and what you accomplished. (Try to use action words and numbers if you can!)
IV. Work Experience: List any jobs you've had, what you did, and what skills you picked up.
V. Volunteer Work & Community Service: Write down where you volunteered, what you did, how many hours, and what you learned or how you helped.
VI. Special Talents, Hobbies & Skills: Note down things like languages you speak, tech skills, musical talents, or interesting hobbies.
VII. Summer Activities: Briefly mention important things you did over the summer.
VIII. Goals & Aspirations: Write about what you might want to study, any career ideas, and what you're looking for in a college.
IX. Information for Recommenders: This part is really important when you give it to a teacher or counselor. Make sure to add specific things you want them to remember about you from their class or interactions.
Step 3: Keep It Updated
Think of this as a living document.
Try to add new achievements, awards, or important experiences regularly (maybe once a month or after each semester) so you don't forget the details.
Look over what you've written and see if you can make it clearer or more impactful.
Step 4: Adjust for Different Needs
Your main brag sheet will have everything. But sometimes, you might want to make a slightly different version:
For College Applications: Make sure the information highlights things that match what those colleges look for.
For Recommenders: Focus on things that specific teacher or counselor knows best about you. Point out any notes you made for them in the "Information for Recommenders" section.
For Scholarships: Make sure you highlight achievements and qualities that fit what the scholarship is looking for.
Step 5: Share It Wisely
When you ask for letters of recommendation, give a clean, updated copy to your teachers and counselors with plenty of time before your deadlines.
